This is the first of my "What happened" questions there will be a few more so stay tuned. This is a 100% true story. Over the years I've only told a handful of people about it. I will keep my personal beliefs about what happened private. Back in 1991 I was living in the San Francisco bay area. I had been living on my own for the first time for about 3 months and at night I was a little scared. One night I was in my bed and I heard what sounded like the front door being closed. As you can imagine my heart was beating so hard I thought it might pop out of my chest! I lay there terrified straining to hear any thing that this supposed intruder was doing but there was nothing but silence. I decided not to go out and investigate, since my bedroom door was locked if whomever wanted me they would have to come through that door first. So I laid in the darkness and listened, again there was only silence.

After about 30 minutes I was still scared but convinced myself that I had only imagined the noise and drifted off to sleep. Now here’s where it gets strange! In the room there was a window and my bed was about 2 or 3 feet away from it, I was sleeping with my back to it. At some point I
awoke and I was once again terrified. I knew I wasn’t alone in that room, I knew because I could feel something touching my back! I was laying on my side and it felt as if someone was sitting up against me on the other side of my bed. The room seemed eerily still and the light from the window seemed sort of strange, it wasn’t brighter or dimmer just different than usual. I am not afraid to admit that I was so scared that I for about 5 minutes I couldn’t even move. I finally decided that playing dead wasn’t going to work and that I had to confront this person. As I tried to roll over I suddenly realized that for what ever reason this was very hard to do.

It was as if I was moving in slow motion, my brain was at full speed buy my body wasn’t. As I finally got my eyes over my left shoulder that is when I saw it... Your classic big eyed alien type sitting there on my bed with a weird smile on her face (don’t ask me why but I think it was a
female). Go ahead and laugh if you want but for a second that is what I saw. When I opened my eyes again it was morning!!! I sat up in bed and as I looked around I was still just as scared, not to mention wondering what the hell happened to me? All doors where closed and locked, no one
had entered or exited. So what happened to me?? Remember this really happened and you can laugh if ya want but there is a part two to this story...

Sounds like a night terror,it usually occurs when your in non-REM sleep and you suddenly wake/partially wake, the mind hasn't caught up with the body and so movement is very difficult, speech can be impossible at times and even breathing can be constricted. And you sometimes see things lingering from whatever dream was interrupted though it is unusual, the general atmosphere and feelings are remember more vividly (i.e being afraid/in danger)

Probably a dream. The whole "hard to move" thing? Sleep paralysis. You were in between dreaming and being awake. You mind was awake and you were able to notice HI sounds(The door and such) and imagery. Nothing to worry about.

This could have been a visitation from aliens form another planet. I would rule that out strange things happen in this world.

You could have been visited by an alien or it could be a spirit trying to give you a message.

I think you had a kind of out-of-body experience where this "being" wanted to show you something. I believe that everyone has their own "guardian angel" that can take any form, so maybe that was yours. Maybe you should research the matter to broaden your knowledge.

Nothing's impossible--it could have been an alien, or a ghost.

maybe it's just a dream, and it feels like true so when you wake up you think it was true but it was actually not
