i have a fracture in my wrist and a spiral split in my hand

It will probably take the full six weeks for your bones to be properly healed. If you start lifting too soon or too much you will re-injure your hand...be patient and do flights of stairs often....build up the leg muscles while you are out of commission for the hand exercises....you'll be in better shape than ever before if you do lots of stairs!

Well, I have a fractured hand and I never stopped lifting weights. I just don't do clean hangs.

6 - 8 weeks for the bone to heal. Then you have to start with light weights and slowly get back to the weight you were at before the injury. Take it slow or you will re-injure it and be back at square one. Good luck
