Yep, you're right because today it's just so!
Once the situation was different with boy having sex earlier than girls surely. On the last decades many things changed. The female sexual development is arriving earlier and still earlier with girls getting it at 7-8 y/o even. Often at 13-14 y/o many girls already look like mature women while the most part of boys are just starting with the sexual development and still are children!
The same talk is about the "brain" or mind's girls in comparison with male teenagers. Guys only remain slicker and slier than girls about sex affair! Anyway I guess that the most part of the pregnant teenagers had sex with older guys.

yes, girls do mature earlier physically, this doesnt mean they are all running around having sex! teaching them responsibility, respect for themselves and others and educating them about their bodies will help them to make the right choices. far more girls from loving families that have open communication wait to have sex, the only reason it seems girls are having sex more than boys is because you see the result of this (pregnant girls), but for every girl having sex there is a boy remember!!

well, they aren't having sex by themselves. i think that girls have a tendency to wait longer because they are afraid of getting pregnant. boys don't have that to worry about. my hubby first has sex at 12. i waited until i was 16. girls do hit puberty first, but there are some boys that develop very early.

If you raise your daughter to know better, she won't do that. A girl who learns to rspect herself and has a life other than thinking about boys will grow up without any problems. It's all in the upbringing.

it depends. i think that a lot of both girls and boys are engaging in this too young. i don't think the gender matters. it has a lot to do with the way kids are brought up and how much supervision they have through their teenage years. hope this helps. good luck.
