what are the main causes of homelessness? how do these people survive?

I would think it is partially due to drug and alcohol problems, partially due to mental illness, and partly due to just falling on hard times. No one likes to admit it, but a lot of people (at least in the US) live paycheck to paycheck. Unless you have good family and friends willing to help you through hard times, it is surprisingly easy to end up homeless. (That's why financial advisors always strongly recommend that you keep at least 6 months worth of expenses saved up just in case.)

As for how they survive, there are shelters and soup kitchens and various outreach programs. But I think hustling is a big part of survival on the streets: begging, digging things out of the garbage, recycling bottles and cans for money, etc. I can't imagine that it's an easy life.

I don't know how they survive,I cant even imagine what kind of hell they go through everyday.Most of the homeless have mental issues and are unable to blend into society,with limited government programs designed to deal with these issues coupled with a weak economy pushes these people right into the streets

There can be many reasons,for homelessness.I was homeless for a year,because I was searching for who I was when,I was 20.I also was not accepting my responsibilities.Paying bills,rent.I wanted to party.A lot of people are homeless because of mental health issues.Because of my experience's,I volunteered at meal programs,and missions.Those life experience's helped me to grow,and mature.

can cause why, there are so many home less people and children all over the countries and states . some people dedicate to become like that way living on the out door with out having living in a house or even wanna to risk their lifes looking for a jobs to make some money. some times they end up losseing alot of things that they used had like their own families who onces knowing their love ones . but also can cause that the person had became home less by having a horrible lifes and had kicked out the their homes .if the husand or wifes , their kids had problems before with drinking or doing something very bad like drugs or even running away from homes and never comes back to their families . there are few home less people can be mean or angery , even be nice sometimes it how they are in personal .

if you want to know how they do take care of their self when theyre living on the streets or sleeping at and how they do get the foods they do feel hungery .

Well some of the home less people dedicate to sleep any where like front of the drive way, or at the parks grounds , under the bridges , even go to the shelters place where the company allow the home less people sleep , use the shower room to take a nice shower or even wash and clean theirself cause they dont want to smell stinky every day in their lifes . also the people who does work at the shelter does gave some foods with drinks to feed the home lesses , a big room with alot of emplty bedsets where they can sleep at . i think they just allow those kind of peolle stay for one nights and next day they have do leave find another places . its not easlier to find foods to eat . sometimes they do look threw the trashes cans or even stand between the streets and bages of some money from some body else who does have a real job and car willin do help them to get something to eat or even use the money that was giving to use it for buying some beers bottles to risk beingin lazy or stupid doesnt even think their really hungery much.


maybe some times you should check out the shelter place where they keep and feed the home less people or children and you can learn how they stay alive and even what they use had before in the early years . by talkin to them or even help them at the church or even gave little money so they can get food . i can say that once or twices year i go to these places where there are alot of home lesses ppl with children sleep at or live at . i gave them little money or even buy some thing like big bages of healthy foods or even bake cookies and just gave to them . one of my neighbor who is a old lady and she lives alone with her dog and i heard from her that she knows these two couples who dedicate to live on the streets and became home less over 10 years ago . she was so nice to this old home less lady who didnt had any thing to keep her self warm so she was nice of given away her old clean sweater to her friend to have .
