Slimming World is one of the few weight management groups that you CAN still join when pregnant, but you will need permission from your midwife. If you use the website you can find out the name and number of your local leader and give her a call to discuss this.
Gentle exercise is great throughout pregnancy. Don't push it though. Walking and swimming would also be great alternatives if you can fit them into your routine.

I lost weight when i was pregnant , twice , I did not diet as such but made sure I had a very healthy eating plan . I eat small meals and often so that I had no digestive problems and to avoid morning sickness I cut out all alcohol and made sure that I walked a lot I am sure all the walking helped me to have an easy birth. It is not true you need to eat for two there are just some things you need more of like calcium .work out a plan so you have all you need it will change throughout as you will have different cravings just don't go wild. Have a great pregnancy it can be fun x

No, you really should not be trying to lose weight while pregnant, without the express advice of your doctor. Weight loss is not recommended while pregnant for a number of reasons, the most important of which is that you could have toxins which are harmful to the baby stored in your fat, which will be released when the fat is burned off.
You should, however, obviously, change your diet to be more healthy and limit your weight gain. Oh, and going to the gym or otherwise getting exercise is highly recommended. I've gone every day and I'm 14 weeks. Be careful when starting a new workout regimen, and make sure you don't push it too much.

Generally speaking, now is not a good time to "diet". However - it's the perfect time and motivation to eat right and exercise! You shoudl be able to workout on the exercise bike for as long as you feel comfortable. Just be careful not to overheat or get your heart rate up too high too fast. Slow and steady is the key here. I'm also overweight, so I know exactly what you're going through. Keep fresh veggies aroudn to snack on (if you can stomach them). Definitely check with your doctor before starting any exercise regiment also. And...you might want to try yoga - it helps to ease tension and keep you calm. Just make sure you are doing a yoga workout for pregnancy. I have a DVD by Shiva Rhea that's amazing. Good luck and congratulations!

Use your bike, that's fine but you have to take it easy and don't overdo it. As for dieting, No No No!! What you should do is to talk to a nutritionist whi will help you with a food plan that is suitable for pregnant women. The key is to eat healthily (as you probablky already know), small but regular meals, include lots of green vegetables and eat lots of fruit. I bought a juicer, that was a great way of getting your 5-a-day in fruits without eating all the fruit which i found very boring. Great as a mid morning snack.

The growing baby needs all the energy and nutrition that the future mother can provide. I personally do not think that it is wise to do anything other than the usual everyday tasks. Any stress, physical or otherwise, will transfer to the baby. No smoking, drinking alcohol, drugs prescription or otherwise. I wouldn't even take vitamin pills. Be careful about taking advice from self centred gym types, who have a natural tendency to put themselves first, and will probably tell you to carry on as usual. Remember, the baby has to live a lifetime with any mistakes you make. Caring starts now, not when it is born.

you should talk to your doctor about a good exercise regiment while you are pregnant and ask you doctor if it is okay for you to join slimmers world he may just decide to help you plan a diet that will help you get fit hope that help. Also you could try walking for thirty minutes a day but start out gradually like start out walking for five minutes then take it up to ten minutes then to fifteen the in about three to four weeks you should be walking for thirty minutes a day

My over-weight friend was pregnant and she only gained a total of 10 pounds and actually lost weight post-pardom. Don't try to lose weight at this point in your life, but you can have a healthy pregnancy maintaining your weight. The best thing to do now is to start walking a little each day. Fitness is always good during pregnancy but don't overdo it. Good luck with your pregnancy, and as always, ask your doctor because only he/she can tell you what's best for you and your baby!

I would discuss with the midwife or doc - think if you eat all the essential requirements that will keep you and baby healthy no reason why you can't cut out the cream cakes and chocolate bars.
I think gentle exercise also ok - but do check with the professionals.
Have a happy and healthy pregnancy.
