I have a ThinkPad T60p and had this same problem. I did all kinds of techie stuff to try to fix it and then realized it was a simple solution: There is a physical "kill" switch on the outside of the laptop that disables all wireless communication (including Bluetooth).

Set up the laptop in front of you normally. Now, lean down in your chair and look at the front edge below the keyboard where it overhangs a little bit. To the left there's a switch that has two icons on either side of it that look kinda like little computers. Slide the switch to the right so a green patch is exposed. Now your wireless should be back in business!

I turned that switch off thinking it was the speakers... it's not, it's the wireless!

Look for the Key on you keyboard Labled "FN" that is the function Key. Now find the Key on your KeyBoard that looks like the standard Wireless Internet pic. (Should look like a Monitor with an antennea, or just an antennea) Hold Function and Push that WIFI Key. Your Wireless internet should be re-enabled MP
