No, those are two separate baby issues. Hair falling out is very normal. New hair will grow soon. Use one of the soft brushed to gently brush the dry skin every morning, and wash your baby's little head with a hair and body wash. Don't use baby oil, it can clog pores.

No. Cradle cap is flaky/scaly skin on the babies scalp.
It does not usually bother the baby but in some cases it can be a bit itchy.
To treat cradle cap, put some vegetable oil on the cradle cap before putting your baby to bed (and than give your baby a good bath in the morning!) Some people recommend certain soaps such as phisoderm.
Cradle cap does not cause hair to fall out. Babies sometimes do have some hair falling out, their hair is very fine and they do spend a lot of time laying down. This is normal!

Sort of. Anyone who has washed off the little flakes will occasionally notice that a few hairs come out from time to time, but if you are worried about your baby going bald because of cradle cap, you shouldn't. It's just a few hairs here and there.
Our baby had it and the doctor recommended 'Selsom Blue'--the adult dandruff shampoo. He had one caveat that we be ultra-cautious about getting it in his eyes--but I have to say within a few baths, the cradle cap was gone--totally. It was pretty amazing.
Contact your doctor and see if that might be a solution.

No it doesn't. Think of it like baby dandruff. The best thing for you to do is to rub some olive oil,(virgin or ex-virgin) on top of the baby's scalp, and use a soft baby brush to brush it, and the cradle cap will flake off easier like that, and just keep on doing that a few times a day until it goes away.

No, it isn't the cradle cap that causes it. The hair falls out naturally. You will notice places that rub against bedding are bald first. Don't worry the "real" hair will come.

Not usually. Only if you are trying to remove it too hard then it may pull the hair out but this wouldn't actually be to do with the cradle cap, its because you would be pulling at it too hard.

Some baby's hair just falls out on its own and will regrow. My daughter, on the other hand, wasn't born with any hair and at 5 months is just now starting to grow hair.

No.. But if your baby is a newborn.. usually the hair they are born with will fall out.. so this may just be a coincidence... If you have an older baby.. I would talk to your baby's doctor!
