Whenever I restart my machine the "found new hardware icon shows in the task bar and then the hardware wizard starts up. I don't have any new hardware connected or recently installed. All this takes so much time during startup and then I have to cancel everything. How can I stop this from happening?

If you dont want it to install whatever it is it is finding, go to the device hardware manager and disable whatever has a yellow ? next to it. More then likely that's probably what is trying to install.

Track down the hardware and install the driver for it.
Check the Startup list and see if Windows is finding the new hardware because of a program that is loading but before the driver has loaded.

even a usb thumb drive/ flash drive or anything can be a new hardware.
generally going through the wizard and tell it to stop asking it everytime can solve the problem
or u can ask windows to finally find the softwatre that needs from the internet.(it does it automatically) and u can give peace to windows
