I think nail biting is the hardest habit to break. Im slowly overcoming my bad habit of it. Im going to get acrylic or gel nails to help me out, I think. Hope it works.

Wear a ring on each hand and when you go to bite your nails, instead fiddle with the rings. Also if you feel yourself putting your hand up to your mouth.. touch the ring to your lips. After a while your brain will give up on the biting and the rings will take over. Besides now that you are growing a little fingernail to make your hands look nicer, the rings will make the whole effect even better. The rings you choose need not be expensive, only nice looking. These will be your 'tools' and its your secret why you suddenly wear two rings. :)

Biting fingernails has something to do with anxiety that one feels. You can get fake nails too, but still that is not enough. The stress in your life has to be resolved or atleast adressed because there are so many issues in our lives and we go on ignoring them thinking that it will go away on its own. Most of the time they don't and need intervention. It could be because of some immediate problems too. Only you know!

I've been a professional nail tech for 12 years now and MEN DO TOO GET ARTIFICIAL NAILS!
I've had several male clients over the years that had an "overlay" done to prevent biting. An overlay is just that, no gluing on tips, you just put acrylic over the natural nail to inhibit biting.
Most succeeded in breaking the habit, and many of them continue to get regular manicures just to reinforce the new look.
Good luck!

Fake nails? Guys don't do that.
There are clear polishes though that have a bitter taste to them. Or just think of all the places your fingers have been.

Just remember, if your bitting your nails you may as well pick up a roach bug and eat it, because your eating just as many germs as one of those things carry. Dip you finger tips in the hotest peper you can find.
