I explained to her that I'd forgot to put my contact lenses in and i'd just gone to the wrong washing line. She said she's going to the police. How can I stop her? Do you think that if i bought her a box of quality streets that it would stop her?

I made the same mistake last year. I ended up paying for a new car for her and that stopped her getting me banged up. Be prepared to shell out or be prepared to spend the next few months behind bars getting bummed.
