I was banned from St Mirin's Cathedral in Paisley in 1979.
I can't go into much detail, as I signed a confidentiality agreement in order to avoid excommunication.
However it did involve the Bishop, a wildly inappropriate illustrated publication, and Mother Mary Patrick never speaking to me again.

As yet I haven't been banned from any cathedral, going to a wedding at one soon so all that could change.
