By synthetic division x - 4 is a factor of
1x³ + 0x² + 0x - 64 as shown :-

I'm not going to give you the answer but here is a hint. If x - a is a factor of an expression then when x = a is put into the expression it gives zero. Take it from there.

Also why do you call it a calculus question? It is just a basic algebra question.

for a factor:

x^3-64 = 0

x^3 = 64

x = 4

so (x-4) is a factor
