How can i beat Zapdos With Squirtle and Charmander in pokemon red rescue team?

I see the problem; Zapdos will fry Squirtle with just a few electric attacks. You need to send something that can resist electricity against it at first. Your best bet is Magnemite. Train that up to a good level and it will make a worthwile fighter. Magnemite also resists Zapdos' peck attack. Also, make sure Charmander has Smokescreen. Inflicting the whiffer status will help you to no end. As for your Squirtle, he hsould stay at the back and throw gravelrocks.
