Sadly Politicians believe they are not lying.

When a person truly believes that, it is impossible to explain that they are lying.

The question is meaningless therefore to a Politician.

However, to the poor saps that vote them in and including the Prime Minister of whatever the flavour; the fact that they are lying is obvious and constant.

''Oh what a gift that God could give us. To see ourselves as others see us''.

We would have a bunch of suicidal Politicians, Geoffrey Archer excluded of course (he never tells lies...and he is Noble).

you dont get to the top in this or any other nation without telling the a load of lies along the way. the sad fact is that all the political parties will lie to you no matter if they are in power or not. just take Dave Cameron's take on cycling to work and smiling nicely to the cameras to show his green credentials and than being shown as a fake when he was rumbled about having his driver following with his briefcase. do you really think Gorden Brown listens to the arrtic monkeys on his i pod?
the worst thing about politics is when they all try to catch each other out in their lies as most are a bunch of lying hypocrites themselves.

It's not possible to have ANY politician who can tell the truth. Example,,,when asks what the US was going to do about the rising cost of gas by a reporter,,,,Dick Cheney simply replied,,what do you drive??? Buy a smaller car. Some answer to a serious question isn't it???
