You need your OBGN to check these. There are meds that prevent them from causing you to dilate, I took them with two of my babies.

It will not be fun, but you are likely to be put on bed rest from here until your due date. I also recall that I had to drink a LOT of fluids all day long, it somehow helps with the contractions.

well dear, if they were contractions that's not a good sign. However, they may be braxton hicks or gas. I'm on baby # 4 and I started the BH at 18 weeks. My doctor said it was a little early but with 3 previous pregnancies I should just keep track. Its also possible you could be dehydrated or have a bladder infection. My doctor tested me for both of the above and both were -. Therefore it really was BH. I am now 24 weeks and still have them daily. I'm not doubting you that you are in some sort of pain, but stay hydrated and call the doctor if it gets worse and hopefully she will be able to help you.

Good Luck

Plz see your doctor right away. I had this happen to me and i was put on bedrest and given medicine to stop the contractions and they gave me shots of steroids to help mature the baby just in case she came early. Good luck to you. You need to be careful because the contractions can make you dialate and you don't want that right now. I was on bedrest from about 4 months until i delivered. I dialated to 2 cm and was thinning out.

Call your OB and have them check you out. I have a friend that was having early contractions and her doctor felt it necessary to put her on a medication that stops the contractions.

they're probably braxton hicks, but you should call your doctor to be on the safe side.
