He might have had the same low numbers that Lincoln did, stood by his principles despite the polls, and been called an arrogant baffoon for insisting on winning the war.

If you read up on your history, you will find out that the Civil War wasn't started to free slaves, and had almost nothing to do with slavery. Lincoln made the Civil War for control of the South, and allowed Northern states to continue owning slaves. It was legal to own slaves if you lived, and were a Northerner before, during, and for a short time, after the Civil War. Bush is a believer in Freedom for the people. Why else are we in a war against Terror? We will NOT be ruled, by anyone!

Its really a rediculous question. I guess you are intimating that George Bush is a racist. But being a slave owner didnt necessarily make you a racist. Try not to forget that the slaves were brought here by our ancestors the British. Sure there are true racist that even exist in the south today but it was other Africans perpetrated the slave trade. The farmers in the Americas were willing participants in what was the mode of production during that day. Dubya isnt a racist.

Bush would still have the Union troops pinned down at Gettysburg being picked off by Confederate snipers while Condoleeza Rice sailed around the world on a wooden ship trying to discover the old world.

You do realize that the decision to do anything was not just by the President but by congress as well.
Everyone was given the same information (whether it was right or wrong) and acted upon it.
I find it funny that so many people like to finger point on one man.

You would be whistling Dixie and Dumbya would have an EQUAL opportunity program to be a slave, regardless of your ethnicity. Of course he and his cronies would have the right to opt out. Since Dumbya was NEVER elected, you are getting a taste of slavery NOW. Down with Dictator Dumbya!!!

He would have convinced americans about the serious threat the Canadians posed, invaded Canada, bogged down our troops there, had a minor force chasing wind mills in the South, attacked Great Britain for supporting the Confederacy, then lost the war, and then blame the Democrats for everything.

he would have accused Rhode Island of having hidden muskets and forcing slaves to be suicide shooters by launching themselves out of a cannon into enemy territory. Then he would have told Delaware to stop producing sawed off double barrells without approval.
Is that the kind of stupid answer you are looking for???
