Once again, the Democrats have displayed their total ignorance of the political impeachment process. But I'm not surprised.
"Slick Willy" Clinton was impeached by the House of Representatives on December 19, 1998 for "Perjury" and "Obstruction of Justice." He was put on trial in the Senate, but after 21 days the Senate fell short by 21 votes of the amount needed to convict him and remove him from office.
There are only two presidents ever to be impeached, Johnston in 1869 and Clinton in 1998. Neither were convicted and served out the rest of their terms.
ADDED: And the spin-doctoring and ignoring of the facts continues with the person answering below my answer. It's pretty obvious who knows anything about the Constitution - not to mention current events - and who doesn't.

Oh now come on......He was never impeached,,, they voted to impeach him but they never did. They seen the light shinning bright from the oval office leadership and decided not to impeach this great leader for a little extra fun which had nothing to do with the way he brought this country out of the dark ages. There is a big diff between voting for, and being impeached. Never impeached. Of course a lot of repubs want you to beleive he was so they can start some bull about Hillary. Never impeached. And anyone who says or claims he was, don't know very much about our contsitution.
