creative writing: how about an extraordinary idea about the sink?

Please, tell me make up a story for my writing asignment - it must be a story about a sink. I have no idea what can be interesting in the sink, but if you have an idea, please let me know!

I am a sink and you have asked me a question about myself.
Though I have never been anywhere else I theorize that others like me must exist.
I am proud to be so essential.
If I neglect my chores I could really screw things up,then they beat me with a big rubber plunger and throw lye in my face.
All in all I am happy with my lot.
I love the germs and bacteria which hang around me all the time.
I'm glad I'm not you,look at all the good crap I would miss!

Go to a Home Depot and look at all the new types of sinks available for purchase now.
The old utilitarian item has become a major factor in decorating a home today.
Suggested title: The evolution of the sink.
Write about the old Victorian basins, accompanied by a pitcher of water, that needed to be dumped out after each use.
Then lead into the more modern plumbing arrangements which allowed people to simply flush the waste water down the drain, with a somewhat sterile look but good function.
Now, the function has married the decorative look and satisfies a certain nostalgia and return to the 'good old days', where things were hand crafted with great care.

If we're talking of the sink in the kitchen and/or bathroom, okay. What kind of story are you trying to write? Look at the common sink and tell me what you see. Look at the design. Check the style. Shape. How it fits in the pattern of the area. The curvature is important. How's the exterior presented to the overall experience of the view. Think of it as a piece of art and ideas begin to surface.
