My wife has a 2002 Grand Am and the BCM was just replaced about 5 months ago at a Pontiac dealership due to the car would not start. It would try to turn over, but sounded like it was flooded or not getting any gas. Now the car is doing it again. Is it the BCM or is it something else?

Possibly the ignition lock is bad. It's part of the anti-theft system. They had a lot of these cause problems. Sounds like it will have to go back to the shop. If it is the BCM I would think it would have a warranty.

I literally new a dozen Grand Ams that were messed up at the same time years back. Some were new and some used. My Grand Ak had problems with fuel system also. the car caught on fire. My absolute worst car I ever owned.

Doubtful, but tough to say without hearing it or looking at it. Its one of 3 things, no spark, no fuel, or no compression. You have to find out whats missing first and then further diagnosis can be done.

The best thing is to go back to the dealership.
