Lot's of options. You'll have to discuss it with them. Might need to improve your recording, or redo the one you have entirely for it to sound right. You'll have to just go and see what comes out. Sometimes it happens in one hour, sometimes one song can take a year to perfect. Depends on how things happen. Depends on what effect you want and how well everyone and everything comes together.

You normally make it. You give the studio manager some idea of what you want and the 2 of you sit down and put it all together. If your talking about using an instrumental, your probably copying someone Else's' work. Plagiarism is not cool. A true artist will put together his or her own sound.

Bring whatever you want to record. Any sort of production a studio does for you will cost you, besides it won't sound the same. What kind of music is this, what are you planning on recording?

Take it with you. Even if they make one you will want them to hear what you intended. They may even just be able to use it the way it is, or convert it to what they need depending on the programs you used.

No, you should take your instrumental with you. How will they be able to get it, if its your song? But you should always come prepared to the studio no matter what...
