Are documents filed with the SEC in the public domain?

such as !0k, and other corporate reporting docs etc.
what about Corporate Annual reports (the glossy ones not on form 10K)

I don't mean are they publicly available. I mean are they without copyright, so that they may be freely republished.

Many documents filed with the SEC are in the public domain. They can be accessed in a number of ways - (1) from the companies themselves, (2) edgar online, or (3) financial websites ( http://finance.yahoo.com/q/sec?s=MSFT ) .
