The following is an example which applies 2 of the fundamental operations (addition, multiplication). Keep in mind too that subtraction is basically addition of the opposite of the subtrahend; and division is repeated subtraction. So all the basic operations really are a form of addition.)

Everyone can retire a millionaire at their normal Social Security full retirement age(esp with the increased age of 65+ years to qualify for full SS retirement) -- if they will but find some way to either

a) Invest a lump sum $10,000 at age 30 and grow it POST TAX at 15% a year

b) Invest $2,000 annually, starting at age 30, and grow the whole nest egg 15% a year, POST TAX.

Probably the hardest requirement is the POST TAX bit, but Roth IRA features might be a good legal evasive consideration.

[Finally, a caveat, when you reach retirement age there's always some possibility that your peanut butter&jelly sandwich will then cost $5!! (LOL) After all, Coca Cola in its former 6 fluid ounce bottle used to go for 5 cents. (...in closing, I use someone else's cliche', acknowledging that it's not my own, but unsure who to credit: LIVE LONG AND PROSPER!)]
