why people eat processed foods rather than fresh food?

Meals are easier to put together when pre-made and prepackaged. Furthmore organic and free range foods are more expensive then the stuff which is worse for you. Generally people are to lazy to get fresh foods and produce a meal from scratch when you can have frozen chicken tenders and instant mashed potatoes.

We are a lazy people. Processed food is cheaper and more readily available.
