Xanadu--a song by Rush based on a poem by Coleridge based on a story Purchas his Pilgrims (or something like that). It is a fragment of a poem--Coleridge was interupted in the middle of the opium trip in which he dreamed up the poem and was unable to finish it.

Essentially, the idea is that a rich Muslim created a place on earth that was just like heaven--taps on the sinks that give milk and honey, beautiful women bringing wonderful food and suiting your every need, and so on. The rich guy would send someone to knock out a young Muslim, would bring him there and show him a slice of heaven, and a few days later release him to the world and tell him he needs to work hard to get back into heaven, which of course led to the young Muslim becoming extremely devout.

"A fantasy. A musical. A place where dreams come true."

Xanadu is a 1980 musical/romance film directed by Robert Greenwald. Xanadu stars Olivia Newton-John (fresh from her role in Grease), Michael Beck, and Gene Kelly, and features music by Newton-John, Electric Light Orchestra, UK pop idol Cliff Richard, and the San Francisco-based art-rock band The Tubes.
