I'm 17 and still enjoying my childhood. Not so carefree any more but not too many responsibilities and still enjoy lounging around with my friends, especially in the summer. Last summer was the best I've ever had, does that count as a childhood memory?

I can't remember a huge lot from when I was very little.... I remember cleaning out the summer house in my back garden with my friend and getting chairs and stuff for it and making it into our little den... that must have been when I was 11 or 12 though.

I was never a very happy child... I think I will look back on my teenage years a lot more fondly.

Christmases and vacations down the shore are my happiest childhood memories. I remember everything being happy and exciting and fun with us all together and no "incidences" with my father drinking. Like, I remember him drinking, but not spending the evening away from us at the bar and then having to worry about him driving home, and the ensuing fight. He had his beer down the shore, at least, but it wasn't bad.

When I grow up I will let you know - I am in my fifties now you see. Memories are what I hold onto at times, so I reckon I must still be making them lol

Sitting in a field full of fauna on a beautiful warm summers day, even the tall weeds seemed so graceful wafting in the gentle breeze, when you are so small the world seemed such a large place.

Being with my grandfather while he was sitting in his armchair and me as a child sitting next , on and around him when he would hug me close for no reason , just a display of love and affection from a man respected by all who knew him , I have never felt so loved since , I miss him terribly.

Every summer spent in Corfu with my gradparents. Life was so easy going, swimming every morning, playing with my cousins in the afternoons (after our midday siesta) and then going to the PLATIA (square) all dressed up to play yet again with all the kids and drink ginger beer!.

oh I guess it would have to be when I was about 5.
I went to morning kindergarten so I got home about noon just in time for lunch. my friend Susan (2 doors down) would come over to my house to have lunch with me. some days I would go have lunch with her. those were definately care free days.
