How many square feet - a yard is 3 feet so...
3W*3L square feet
=9WL

10 cents per square foot = 10 * 9 * W * L

=90WL cents
or
0.9WL dollars

W yards is 3W feet, and L yards is 3L feet since 3 feet = 1 yard.

So in square feet the area of the floor of the room is (3L)(3W) or 9 LW square feet.

Multiply this by 10 cents converted to dollars (0.10)

That gives 0.9 LW dollars

Of course this assumes you are only steam cleaning the floor. If you are also doing the walls you need to know the height.

Area of the room is L * W (in yards)

To make it into feet, you'd multiply it by 9 (3 feet in a yard, so 3L * 3W = 9LW)

Then multiply 9LW by 10 (the cost) which would get you 90 LW as your answer (in cents)

L multiplyed by W will give u yard squared so it b easir if u convert yards to feet first so convert L(yards) to L(feet)(how many feet in yard?????) and W(yards) to W(feet) multiply together ur new values ..that will give u square feet then muliply by 10 cents and u hav ur answer

First convert the L and W, which are in yards, to feet (Multiply by 3)
Then multiply L(now in feet) by W(now in feet) to find total area (in square feet)
Finally multiply the area by price per square foot, to find total cost.
So in terms of L and W...
3L x 3W x .10= total price in $

Dimensions of room are 3W ft and 3L ft
Area = 9WL ft²
Cost = 10 x 9WL cents = 90WL cents

1 yard = 3 feet
1 square yared = 9 square feet
WL = x square yards
WL = 9x square feet
.10 (9x square feet) = n
.9x square feet = n
x square feet = n/.9
WL= n/.9
.9WL=n

where W= width, L= length, n=price, x=actual square feet
