Sex is perfectly fine all during pregnancy unless you are at high risk for certain medical conditions. Your dr will tell you wether it is safe or not if you are at high risk. Your sex drive actually sky rockets in the first trimester then kinda tampers off towards the end. If you and your partner are comfortable with it go ahead and enjoy! It can actually set you into labor if you are at the end of your pregnancy!

Well it's not "bad" for pregnancy unless your dr. put restrictions on you. Sex is good for the pregnant woman... makes her feel like someone still wants her when she thinks she's not looking her best. It's also good towards the end of pregnancy to help dialation and contractions (but it won't hurt the baby or throw you into premature labor unless your dr. says no sex)

It's not exactly good for pregnancy, per se, however -
It's good for your relationship with your DH/SO.
It is thought to help start labor and make labor easier.
It's good to get it out of your system now before you go on a 6-week hiatus after the baby comes.
Especially during the second trimester, women can be rarin' to go - you might as well take advantage of it and make hubby happy!

Graphic answer warning!
Orgasms are actually muscle spasms in the vagina and uterus, so if they are happening, then it's like little exercizes for when you go into labor. Of course, if your man isn't providing for YOU(LOL!) then the primary benefit is emotional attachment.
Late in pregnancy the chemicals in semen will actually encourage the cervix to soften and usually open up a bit. It won't necessarily start labor, but it will help when your body is ready.
Good luck

I take it you mean to induce labour? I tried that method and it didn't work...I tried everything they suggest and nothing worked! The only thing that worked to bring on labour was actually going into hospital and being induced with a pessary. If the baby's going to be late, it's going to be late regardless of what you do!

Late in pregnancy, yes.. to help labor along. Before that, its not that its good for pregnancy, but, it won't hurt as long as you have an uncomplicated pregnancy.

It is supposed to be. I even read on one site that it was supposed to make the birth slightly easier! I don't know how true that it! Think I will have to look that one up again to find the link!
