the narrow mindedness of a lot of people who live here. we tend to be a little bit behind the curve on these things. hopefully 2008 elections will be different

because the people of the US are scared. I'm a minority (Hispanic) and I know for a fact there are a lot of minorities out there who more than fit the spot for President. Until people can stop being so judgemental toward each other and other races (including commercials...we can't make one stupid commercial that makes fun of a race or social group because its just not politically correct!!!! ahhhhh!)...anyways, my answer to your question is that the people are scared. And if you haven't noticed, just asking about a minority president is a very touchy subject.

Have any minorities ran for president? If they have, then its probably too much of a change for ppl I guess.. It Would make history wouldn't it?! A woman president, black one, or asian, w/e. As for me, I honestly do not give a blip about politics lol. As long as we can live freely. =]

Its just that. It is a minority. The majority votes for their common man. You wont see a southern KKK member voting for a black man and you wont see chauvinistic man voting for a woman. People also feel comfortable with what they know. They dont like change. Their parents and grandparents voted for a certain party that is what they know. No one uses their brains anymore they just go for same and easy.
