Dave
Get a wireless Router. I recommend LinkSys. This will establish a local area network as well as an added firewall. But USE the Wireless Security.
Good luck and Happy Computing!

Yes. You need to consider if your really want to do this for at least three reasons:
1. Cost of equipment.
2. Security. Wireless is not as secure as wired connections because anyone can park outside with a laptop and try to hack you, even if you have gone through the trouble to try to secure it.
3. Reliability. Wireless signals are not all that reliable, and the less you pay for equipment, the more likely it is to be unreliable.

Another wireless device can connect to yours via an Ad-Hoc network (use "Help and Support center" for more details). Otherwise, buy an access point or router with a USB port. Follow its instructions.

to go wireless you will need a wireless router, coupled to another computer in the house. the router needs to be coupled to a computer to work
so if you don't have two computers it will be no good setting up a wireless system...
