First, there was that freaky, scary alien-looking 'eel shark' that they caught live; then shortly after it was that ugly lookin 'goblin shark' which they also caught live; both sharks are extremely rare , 'prehistoric', and live very deep in the ocean which is why they died shortly after they seemed 'driven' to the surface. finally, there was that giant squid; are these creatures being driven to the surface cause of changes to the ocean from global warming or something else?

I was reading on LiveScience or something like that, and it suggested that the climate changes have made for better feeding in certain niches, and this has caused them to be more active and more numerous and therefore more likely to catch, see, observe.

They were also talking about that ice shelf that fell off and all the funky creatures truckin' around under there.

It's a neat world, that's for sure. But I do think that the human impact is responsible for changing patterns of behavior and thus we're getting more information all the time.

I think that global warming has a great deal to do with this. The ice bergs are melting, and who knows what is in them from the prehistoric days. Also, new fish are cropping up that the male actually carries the fish waiting to be born. (not the regular ones that do it......sea horse). I think that since the waters are so poluted, and global warming going on BIG TIME, that the changes are sure to keep coming. Personally, I won't even eat fish, with the polution factor being so high. I live ON the ocean is Northern CA............the fishing is great here.........crabs are terrific here...............yet, the polution has really destroyed their health benefits to everyone.
