Up to 3 things at a time.. become an "expert" on 3 peices or facts, then move on to the next group. Repetition repetition.

If its list of things then the best way is to story tell as you go, for example:

1 - Door
2 - Cat
3 - Television.

One you would imagine as a pencil (due to the 1 shape).... and because one on the list is a door you put the two together, so, the pencil is stuck to the door. Two can be represented by a swan (due to the 2 shape) so you could imagine a cat riding a swan, three could be a pair of breasts (due to the 3 shape) so you could imagine a pair of boobs on TV. and so on and so on. This really works you can memorize list after list, try it out.

Good luck with your studies!!

It depends on your learning style...

I, personally, find that either making it into a rhyme or finding ways that it applies to other things in life really help.

You should find out your learning style ... it'll help you find what will work best for you. It's very, very (!) important for your success in school... and in life.

Trivia: The school system (reading books and answering written questions) is the best way to learn for a measly 8% of the population. This means that most people will not learn the best they can while in school.

try to make as many unique connections with things u already memorize as possible...the more connections u have, the more likely u r to remember one of them, which will lead to what ur really trying to remember
connections can be made by reading things aloud, singing them, writing them down, maybe sometimes mis-spelling them, put them in a picture (if u can draw)
simply, everything u do makes new connections, so when u do things with what u wanna memorize, u make connections with these things
