He has a larger "carbon footprint" than most ordinary folks I guess, but as far as celebrities and other rich and famous folks are concerned he is very much C-list material. The worst offenders are serial air travellers - especially those who own their own or charter private jets in place of scheduled flights.

Tom Cruise is said to have no less than three private jets, including a recent purchase for Katie Holmes, and there was once a story - never denied - that he sent one of those jets to pick up some groceries. John Travolta has a Boeing 707 on his front lawn plus three Gulfstream jets and a Lear jet. David Beckham has a fleet of 15 gas-guzzling cars. Chelsea's big daddy Roman Abramovich has a £56million private Boeing 767 jet.

World statesmen such as Tony Blair also clock up huge carbon footprints on their international travels. Compared to these guys, Clarkson is still in kindergarten!!

I'm not sure if its laughable but he probably will have the biggest carbon footprint

Probably one of the biggest, but I bet the president of the USA or even our own Prime minister has a bigger carbon output. They are all driven round in big cars and have their own jets to fly them places.

So you believe all you see on TV? See today's papers re the increasing cost to the British taxpayer of MPs cars and their drivers.Whilst exhorting the rest of us to use our cars less, they are using them more.
