If eye LABEL four FOLDERS is there still one messages in G-mail storage.?

It seems to me that eye have FOUR messages saved.?
Tell me if there is only ONE.

Labels and folders are a bit confusing at first.

Labels - you can have more than one label on an e-mail.
Example: You get an e-mail from your sister about her baby shower. You can label it [sister], [family], [news], [important], [meetings], [todo]... all at the same time.

Folders - one e-mail can only ever have one folder.
Example: With folders you have to choose one, and only one, that you can put it in. It might get lost in [family], and you might get confused if you put it in [meetings], so you'd put it in [todo]... and maybe end up forgetting about it.

So... you have one e-mail with 4 labels - this means the e-mail can show up in 4 different "places". There is still only one e-mail.
