I am looking for an evergreen climber that will grow quickly to cover a pergoda. I am not worried about it flowering. I did buy a grape vine but have found out that it is not evergreen. Help please.

Star Jasmine is nice. This is a good time to plant it. Ours has not started it's spring growth yet. It will bloom for a month to a month and a half in late spring or early summer and smells wonderful. It is evergreen and not messy at all. You can find the plants at Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's and such places. Very inexpensive.

Akibia vine. It's evergreen, has a very nice leaf structure, is drought tolerant, isn't too aggressive, and has some nice little flowers in late spring.

They're kind of hard to find though.

you could desire to attempt an evergreen Clematis like the Clematis Armandii. They dont look to recommendations our Scottish climate (they're northern hemisphere flora after all) - on the final count huge type I had 32 in my backyard and that they are all surviving nicely :o). various the evergreen Clematis are iciness/spring flowering yet you could desire to attempt growing to be between the decidious summer time flowering ones by way of it for some extra shade.
