It is difficult to get any real news from TV. One of my all time favorites in this regard occurred only a few months ago when my local news station came on at the top of the hour and in typical dire fashion announced their lead story by stating, "Up next: Find out why pancakes might be dangerous for you."

Yes, the news never actually deal with any real "news" anymore. if they do happen to do an importnant story it usually gets about 30 seconds of coverage. They have much more important things to talk about, like Anna Nicole Smith and Brittany Spears!

I agree whole heartedly. 90% of stories being reported are not what I would consider newsworthy.
