At present Humans have entered in the Seventh millenium of History. This millenium as what is happening with terrorism can be called the epoch of " Armagedeon."Because of terrorism and dissention among Nations ,the world will continue to suffer an at exponential proportion.
So there appears to be no end. Humans will appear to no longer experience "love thy neighboor " except hate you renemy "by showing no mercy or compassion.
We have no writen Hystory beyond 6000 years.Except probibalistic calculated Era by scientist and evolutionary theory.
The most ancient languages indicate more sophitication than the modern languages. So If Humans existed beyond that why is there no recorded writen history for those so called evolutionary era?
If it took Billions of years of construction time for the Universe than the real time of our existance is only a drop of water in the ocean.

Others have the rest of your answer...as for "human age," I don't think there is an official designation for such a thing today, but many people refer to this as the Information Age. Personally, I'd call it the Mis-information Age.
I think human ages get defined by historians after-the-fact.
