They should be ok to live together but when they all grow up they will need a really HUGE tank. The black moors will get to be about 7-8" long each and your common goldfish can easily get over a foot! They will need about a 150 gallon tank to be comfortable. For now they might be ok, but you will need to make plans about what to do when they start getting big.

Goldfish require a lot of space because of the high levels of waste they produce. I'm not sure what plain, ordinary goldfish means, but I'm going to assume you mean the slim-bodied goldfish. These goldfish require a minimum of 20 gallons of water per fish and more if they are over 4 inches in size. So, for your slim-bodied fish, you need at least a 40 gallon tank. The fancies need a minimum of 10 gallons of water per fish. For your fancies, you need at least a 20 gallon tank. If you put too many goldfish in too small of a space, the ammonia will go through the roof, destroy the water quality and start making the fish very sick. Also, slim-bodied goldfish shouldn't be combined with fancies, especially those with the specialized eyes like black moors, because the slim-bodied are fast fish and fancies are slow fish and with specialized eyes, they are even more slow and the slim-bodied fish would get all the food. I would strongly advise against combining the two, but if you had to, you would need a tank of at least 60 gallons, and as they got larger, you willl need to get an even bigger tank, and you would need to make sure that your fancies ate, even if that meant learning to hand-feed them. I'm sure this didn't answer your question the way you were hoping for, but it is the truth.

Hi. As a rule goldfish shouldnt be kept with fancy fish as they can bully them, also fancy fish are alot slower so its harder to get away. I had problems in the past keeping both kinds together.
Saying that I have rescued 3 fish in a tank and 1 is a comet, 1 a blackmoore and 1 a ryulin. They have been together 2 years and they get on great, grown dam big aswell lol. Ive also read sucess on others keeping them together so I guess it depends on the fish personalitys lol.
You can try and keep a spare tank aside incase there are problems.

they should be fine. everyone says beta's can't be with any fish, but we put ours with two goldfish and another beta and he seemed much happier....actually he dies a few days ago but he lived a long time......so any way they should be okay together but if they like start attacking him....then lightly tap the tank to make them stop.....
