I've had kidney stones 3 times. It really depends on what type they are. Uric acid stones can be dissolved, calcium cannot(which I got). If they are uric acid your dr (urologist) can give you a medication with an orange and white label around it and it will dissolve them. You can only get rid of them by drinking lots of water, or if you go into the hospital iv fluids. If that doesnt work kidney stents and/or lithotripsy might be necessary.
