If you mean one half percent of $900, then the answer is $450. Or if you mean one and a half percent of $900 then the answer is $13.50.

I will tell you how to do this. To get 1% move your decimal to the left 2 places. One place would give you 10%.
so 100% is $900.00
10% is $90.00
1% is $9.00
Now half of $9.00 is $4.50 and that is 1/2%
Add your 1% to the half percent. 9 + 4.50= $13.50. Remember the dollar sign and remember how to do this next time
