I feel that the Heat have enough good role players to sneak into the playoffs. Besides, the competition is just not there for anyone to knock them out. The Magic and Knicks hold the 9th and 10th spots, but neither of those teams are poised to make a run. The Heat will make the playoffs.

However, since they will be the 7th or 8th seed, that means a first round matchup with either the Pistons, Wizards, or Cavs. Even if Dwayne Wade returns, which he shouldn't, the Heat can't beat the Pistons. They could however make a run at Washington or Cleveland. Bottom line: No repeat for the Heat...

I think they won't because they're star player will be out and Shaq is getting too old and too banged up to play. He will probably retire in the next 3-6 years. Without Wade they are bad and with him they have a chance. Anyway who is the player to go with the ball when losing and end of the 4th quarter? It isn't Shaq and I'll tell you why He is no good at the free-throw line and the only thing he could do is dunk.

As long as Wade is out they are not going to be in the playoffs. They are a two man team and lack the supporting cast to help Shaq carry the load.

thats a tough one
if dwayne wade isnt going to play the entire season and if shaq doesnt do well with his knee surgery then its going to be tough for the heat to win after losing 2 of their major players
im about 99.99999% sure they will make the playoffs and lose in the first couple rounds

yes it is all possible all the starters on the heat have all had experience with carring their team. so they could still make a mark in the playoffs but hopefully they make it to the finals!

yes they will get there. The East is weak and anyone over .500 will get in. They have some up and coming teams to deal with now that Memphis is getting hot and Toronto, so it will be a close race. Their main threat will be Detroit and a lot will happen in the next few weeks.

they will but there are going to loose. they are going to the playoffs because the eastern confrence teams suck besides detroit pistons, if the team was in the west, they were not even get the 8th seed because there is a lot of competetion in the west this year

Yes They'll go and no they wont win it all. If they finish as the 8th seed (they're 7th right now) they'll lose to Detroit in 5.
