Yes Georgie - I couldn't answer, because I have never heard of it before.
No I didn't see Fatal Attraction - an old movie. Has the saying been around since then?

This girl I was with years back. Her sister had a kid and she got baby fever like I've never seen before. She insisted on getting as many pictures of me holding the baby as she could get. A couple months down the road, things getting more and more uncomfortable, I heard a rumor going around that she's telling people that the kid is ours. She's emailing pictures of me holding the baby telling people I'm the father of her imaginary child. I asked her about it and she freaked. Within the week I got out of there and she got worse. It's been almost five years and I still get calls, letters and emails from her. She was always a little twitchy but now, she's scary.

A bunny boiler is a woman who is over obsessed with a man. Can be compared to a stalker. She is so obsessed with him that she will do anything to get him and his attention, so far that she will boil his pet.
Guys usually say to their friends that their g/f's are bunny boilers as a joke when the girl becomes such a big part of their life and start to take away from their social life.

I wish you could meet my brothers girlfriend you would sure know what a bunny boiler was then, she is obsessive to the point of destroying his life, extremely jealous of his kids and friends, she has ousted more people from his life than hes had hot dinners, she took insurance out on him without telling him, threw all his family photos away and is basically a total control freak of every aspect of his life and he is scared of her but won't do anything about it, Glenn Close has nothing on her.

in fatal attraction glenn close got involved with a married man whilst his wife was away.... when the wife returned he didnt wanna know(typical man didnt want it now to ruin his marriage) glenn close was pestering him all the time and the more she did the more he ignored her... anyway glenn close went to his house while they were out and her revenge was to put their little cuddly fluffy bunny rabbit in the boiling pot!!! so since that film anyone who becomes obsessed with anyone now gets the name of bunny boiler!!
