As stated by a few make sure he is Licensed and Insured, 65$ Is a very good Rate, I'm In NC and the Company I work for is 90$ an HR so if he has the credentials go for it.

That's about right we charge $60 an hour but its a small company, the bigger the company the more overhead.

if you're getting a job this big done you should get a estimates from more than one contractor tell them what you want and get it in writing what they'll do and how much they'll charge for the job not by the hour

That is extremely cheap. Usually they start at $150. just to look around.

i would say your getting a nice deal. skilled labor is not cheap.
