HI,
The weather should be getting cool not Cold just yet. So layers are the best way to dress: Tshirt, Shirt and a Light to medium windbreaker/Jacket as the night temperature is about 16~18C. It is best for you to check the weather again , one week before you leave for Taiwan.
FYI, We had a mild winter this year because of the El Nino effect.

The weather is really nice, depending on where you come from. Do you know what the weather is like in Seattle during June? Then you can understand what Taiwan's weather will be like in December. It sometimes rains a little, but not much. I am from Canada, and I ride my scooter (a REALLY slow motorcycle) wearing a T-shirt in December.

Gray but not as cold as , say New York in December, About 40- 50 farenheit. Rains some and feels colder than it really is because all the buildings are made of cement and nothing has central heating so everything has that damp cold feel.

Its winter in Dec..
about 15-20'C for normal days!
about 5-10'C during cold current days!
Its not really that cold.. but the wind is real real big.. so wind bring more wind breakers & probably some winter wear..
