I just took a home pregnancy test, and it came back positive, well kinda, there were two pink lines; one faint one dark; it was a first responce...i was woundering if anyone knew if something you eat or drink could make a pregnancy test come out positive? Or if you had sex like a week or two ago! My hunny was saying that he thought that he thought that it could be just the egg dropped but the sperm and egg met too late, and that is y it came back positive!?!? What do you think? please help?!?!

My ovulation was the 9th to the 16th! and i'm suppost to get my period on the 28th! i have a 28 day cycle, idk if there is anything else anyone would need to know to help me out some!

Chances are if you did the test correcly, you're pregnant. If you read the test before the time limit was up it's probably right. There can be plenty of false negatives but not many false positives. It doens't matter how faint the line is, a line is a line is a line. I'm not sure what your hunny meant but if the sperm and egg met and "hooked up," you're preggo! To show him, take a test again in a couple days. And make sure to use your early morning urine to get the best results.

It is very likely that you are pregnant - from what I have been told by doctors, a false-positive is rare. You don't say how many days past ovulation you were when you took the test so I can't tell you anything for sure.
Best advice - wait a week and take another test; or schedule a visit with your doc and tell them you would like to confirm pregnancy.

if it came back positive, no matter how faint the line is, 99% of the time it means u are pregnant. I have never heard of any food or drink causing a pregnancy test to come out possitive. I would go to the doctor to double check but you are probably pregnant

The lines don't have to be the same color for you to be pregant. So Congrats!! You can always go to the dr. for a test if it makes you more reassured. (They isn't anything I can think of that would make a flase postive on a test that you can get or drink) Also it only takes 2 week after sex to get a positive on a test, sometimes sooner.

That is tough question, I wish I could answer for you.
Try testing again with the digital pregnancy test.
I love clear blue easy tests because they read easier.
When you test yourself again,judt make sure your that you have not had tons of liquids..like water for instance.
