They do spend time on one. At least some species do. A lily pad would be a place to hunt for food, find a mate, and maybe lay eggs. However, it does not provide protective cover. So if a bird came along the frog would have to escape the lily pad for safety in the water.

They live in a pond but they jump in lilypads if the pads are big enough

they dont always live there, they just sometimes chill there, when the weather is nice, and try to catch insects for snacks to eat, and sunbath... Their houses are small holes in the ground where they sleep and sometimes hibernate. They are beautiful and special animals, cool you like them too!!!!!!
