In 1969 I was told "If we lose Vietnam the Communist will come to the USA and kill us all". Well, We lost Vietnam on 30th April 1975 and I'm waiting for the communist to come to my town and kill me. They never did. Fast forward to 2007. We are now told if we don't win in Iraq the terrorist will come into my town and kill me. Do I have to wait another 32 years for them to come into my town?

Well, 3,000 innocent people were killed on American soil on 9-11-01. Unfortunately, though, instead of focusing on bringing the main culprit, Osama bin Laden, to justice, we invaded a country that was in no way involved in the attacks. And instead of solving the global terrorist threat, it's actually exacerbated it, because the war has become a cause celebre among the Muslim fundamentalists and now a whole new generation of terrorists is being bred.

And terrorist have attacked America.. just because they didn't come to your town doesn't mean they aren't a threat.

You're right, if terrorists never come to your town, then it is all ok. It's not like they haven't been to the US and attacked on US soil before, but if you think you're just fine living in Buttlick, Montana because no terrorist will attack there, go ahead.

america is slowly turning communist. look at the recent elections. all this left wing global warming blame on corporations, and democrats and greens calling for regulation. its happening slowly, in increments. america will not fall in one night.

We are already there. Ho Chi Minh, Stalin, et al are not communists. You needn't fear us. But you were right to fear them. They are tyrants and could have easily spread like wildfire across Southeast Asia had they not been decimated by the US forces in viet nam.
