What it means is you gain 20 lbs!I......I'm just kidding,Your doctor should have never said that or reacted that way to anything in your chart in front of you he should have reviewed your chart before ever entering the room to talk to you.I would definitely make a complaint with someone that counts and I would definitely express your reaction and thoughts with him or her as well.

It means: 1. your doctor has, unfortunately, suffered a serious head injury or 2. your doctor has found God in you chart! Either you or your chart have to be pretty special! (could also be associated with a brain injury or 3. your doctor has forgotten that in the "Doctor's Manual" it says that when something looks really really bad in a chart, he is suppose to get very quiet and busy and walk out of the room before you get a chance to ask any questions.

When a doctor says omg which is very unprofessional of him to be saying for starters. When he/she is looking at your chart it could mean many things. Not knowing why you were there and due to HEPPA laws without you giving any more information then what you did it is impossible to give an exact answer to this question.

However, say your there for a cold and he/she went to perscribe you an antibiotic, found something you were allergic to and well, he/she realized the medication he/she perscribed had that compound in it.

Another reason why he/she would say omg when looking at your chart could be from reading a test result that you might of had that could be of a serious matter that needs attention immediately. (not to scare you there).

Another reason why he/she might say omg could be they were joking with you during a conversation the 2 of you were having at the time while he was looking at your chart. Not that it had anything to do with what was in your chart.

There are many reasons, unfortunately this is something as I said with what information you have given is impossible to answer.

Good be good or bad. But I'd rather heard that than something like..."Oops...how did I miss that?" Or..."Hey nurse! Is next of kin listed on this chart?".

Things can always be worse! I am assuming this question is facetious or resolved as you would already have known the answer long before asking this question.

You mean like on "Married... with Children," when Al went to the dentist for the first time and the dentist confidently assured him that he'd "seen it all", but when Al opened his mouth, the dentist exclaimed, "Mother of God!!" and then had the nurse bring in the industrial sized drop cloth and then called his broker to have him proceed with buying a new yacht? Like that, bunkie?

What did he say after that?? Was he talking about something else or about what he was seeing? You could have giving a little more information. He could have been talking or thinking about most anything.
