Glaciers appear Green or Blue, depending on the amount of salts, sulphers, and other elements in the waters that coagulate & freeze, and are reflected in thoses elements by the sun, in color. Just as rainbows reflect the chemicals and minerals swept up by heavy rain storms in the sky, and are reflected by the suns rays.
