Canada don't have to lift a finger to stop terrorism, it's not even a target. Meanwhile America is one of the ONLY countries actually doing something to stop Islamic terrorism. That's the difference.

If the US were to become like Canada and cut and run then the world would enter a dark age.

I'm going to Toronto for a week, leaving Saturday, I too feel a sense of relief being in Canada it is a more peaceful nation, everyone is really friendly. They are a historically passive country that does not choose to engage in arguments in the world forum, thus leading the country as a whole to have a more positive vibe.

I think I would like to visit Canada. I've met quite a few Canadians, and most of them seem cool and easygoing and lacking in the machismo that a lot of Americans have.

What , you feel better about the problem by going somewhere and ignoring it ? yeah I'm sure lots of people feel the same way you do, thats why problems get so big and out of control. Lets ignore it until it gets so big we can't anymore because I just don't like thinking about it. Nice , real nice.

Yeah, it´s called ´culture shock´. Canada is very easy for one to accustom themselves to. Coming back to a country that was (2)004 when you left, and 1786 when you return is hard to stomach.

jeff,

Does peace = absence of war?

Does mimicking the three "no evil" monkeys make the problems disappear?

If you want to live in a society where good news is spoon fed to you in easy to digest language, because reality is "too ugly," then by all means, uphold the Canadian system as utopic.

I would much rather be informed.

Send CNN to Canada. Oh heck. They're already there.
Seriously, it sounds fun and relaxing. My mother and step-father really enjoyed their Canada trip.

I'm just counting the days till we get our current president out of office.

Otherwise, I try not to worry about it.
