Do you think the Scottish Nationalists will gain enough seats to have a majority in the next Scottish Parliament? If so, do you think they will be able to find a coalition partner with whom they can form the next Scottish Executive?

If you know nothing about Scottish politics, please don't answer.

As a Green supporter, I was kind of hoping for an SNP/Green coalition after the next election, despite the fact that I am not comfortable with the concept of Nationalism in general. Realistically, however, I tend to think that the SNP may gain the highest number of seats, but will be struggling to find a coalition partner with whom they can form an Executive.

It looks very likely this time. I am part of the local Conservatives and do some volunteer work for them - that's exactly what people are saying on the doorstep - that Labour have a fight on their hands and that they'll be voting SNP.

Jack McConnell won't even debate with the SNP - he is refusing to go on Question time or anything else.

People just want Labour out now.

Labour aren't looking good in the opinion polls and Labour are losing interest from the scottish people even though, they're the top party in that country. The SNP will most definately gain the most seats in the next Scottish elections and take it 1 step closer to becoming an independent country.

I exceptionally a lot examine that whoever is in will could desire to handle huge cuts to the Scottish funds by way of Labour's incompetence while they have been in Westminster. and due to this SNP will make a a million/2-hearted marketing campaign. that isn't any longer unquestionably nicely worth triumphing. Labour might then could desire to handle their very own mess. they could do no longer something to give up what's coming. With Iain gray and his lot on top of issues, that's a recipe for finished catastrophe.

Technically, blair rigged the parliament to make it extremely difficult to have one party in majority. The fib Dems are against an independence referendum. Labour are fearties who won't debate so I hope the SNP do get a majority.
However they will most likely have to do a deal with the other independence minded parties such as the Greens if the fib-dems kiss and make up with labour.
The voters in Scotland should seize the chance to get out from under labour and grab independence. Vote SNP.

On both counts I very sincerely hope not.The SNP are incapable of running my country with or without the assistance of a coalition with any other party. I spent 15 years of my life in the British army, not the Scotish army and hope and pray that the proletariat of this country(Scotland) vote in their thousands for anyone but the SNP. Scotland would be a third world backwater within the first year of an SNP administration.

Something about that Alex Salmond character always worries me, i think i`m all for his patriotic stance but he looks like an impostor, a person who has neither the skills nor charisma to lead a proud nation plus do we(the sick man of Europe with high rates of heart disease, cancers ,alcohol and drug abuse) really need that fat little guy as a role model for our youth? i don't think so on the other hand though `diamond` Jack McConnell seems to preside over a parliament that does nothing but spend a whole load of money on white elephant projects without ever doing anything substantial to improve our everyday living circumstances they merely seem to paper over the cracks i mean how long is it before our youth start upon the hole gun culture we are already witnessing in England and don't even get me started o the recent expenses fiasco reported in our daily papers. sorry if that didn't seem to answer your question but its just the way i feel. when it comes to voting these days you simply have to opt for the lesser of multiple evils.

The Scottish National Party. If anyone has an atom of sense they will vote for this party.Scotland has a people who have always been at the forefront of science and commerce, they are exceptionally able to conduct their own affairs whithout the
interference of Westminster.
I really hope that they will have enough seats not to need and
hangers on.

Yes they can certainly get a majority but I have a sneaking feeling that they won't! My guess is that an anti Nationalist coalition will be formed .. but I may be wrong!

I look forward to the day when Scottish MP's can no longer vote through bills within the UK Parliament that only effect England. How can this be considered democracy ...

tony blair has overun the land with immigrants so he can give them the vote to force us into europe.so why dont the scotts and the welsh nationalist and even the english all support each outher.
but their is anouther way which is my favoured way, you scotts dont have to join in the next elections, you can seperate yourselves from them. by having your own free scotish elections, that is to say that elections for scotts who dont see themselves as european owned. the british elections are for european britains not free britains. to be a free britain demands seperat elections. and as thesnp would have no opposition they would take scotland hands down, but if you wish to stay in europe you cant do it.
